BlueBell Homeschool Spanish Curriculum is based on The National Standards For Foreign Language established by ACTFL. The American Council on the Teaching of Foreign Language (ACTFL) is an internationally recognized authority on educational approaches to foreign languages. Besides providing a frame for research and methodology, one of their main objectives is to encourage the American government to promote FL programs. FL requirements in the USA are not as much of a priority as in the rest of Western countries, where at least one foreign language is mandatory for about 8-12 years of education.
